Great Ouse Wombling
STOP PRESS! Cambridgeshire PAC Top Piker Andrew Allebone has sent his contribution to the trawling of disgarded waste products. Andrew is an avid trolling Piker who ventures up and down the lengths of the great Ouse with shads in tow and has on occasion managed a few Pike and Zander for his efforts but he claims his best fight came in the form of a seat cushion weighing a massive 46lb; a personal best for Andrew. He has also added such specimens as car tyres, a very rare eel net and even a fly rod and reel. Well that has raised the bar even higher and set new heights for the Chester preds and Region 88 boys to aim for. These Fenland Pikers do take some beating......................

BOLLOCKS. we could all come on here larging it up with claims of specimen refuse but unless i see the pictures or hear it from the witnesses im reserving judgement. this guy is obviously put out by Region 88s assualt on blithfield, blowing the place apart with our record 'lobster pot' thing, once again proving the undeniable fact that the trout waters hold the best chance of smashing UK records.
I understand your suspicions Buzzz but this Fenland Maestro is not the usual egototistical Piking Trophy hunting Angler that are the scurge of our sport. I think he had the seat cushion stuffed and mounted and is in a glass case above his mantle piece. He assures me he caught and released the tyres though and the fly rod and reel obviously got un-hooked and thrown straight back. lol....
...Mr Buzz (Lightyear ?), tis true this massive seating cushion was landed by myself quite recently. It was taken using a SSR whilst trolling the Ouse near Ely. Very little damage was done to the foam although the brown outer skin was damaged by the 2/0 VMC Cone Cut treble hook. It was quite obvious at the time that the seat cushion was in trouble. I quickly weighed her, only to notice that she was losing weight fast. There was no time to take pictures, I gently released the cushion back to the murky depths of the Ouse so no further harm would be done. Knowing full well that at some point some other angler will have the pleasure in landing her at a similar weight. I do hope this has not taken the shine of your lobster pot catch from Blithfield.
